Actually, Eliot "accused" me of predicting the tremendous rally we've seen, to which I replied that I merely called a trend already in motion—a trend that has repeatedly suffered a large step back for every two steps forward. Happily for those who missed the rally before, it's now in one of those "one step back" phases, which I do see as an opportunity. That makes it all the more important that I'm seen as a "glass half empty" sort of analyst on this question; that's much safer than a perma-bull who promises every day that it's going to the moon tomorrow.
