Ewan Downie is one of the few exploration junior CEOs to successfully transform his company into a growing gold producer. Premier has eight substantial project in three pro-mining countries. But it's first cash cow is already mined out, its current mine in production (Mercedes) has disappointed in several ways, and its JV partners on its other big projects don't seem to be in any hurries to advance—all while gold prices were stuck in purgatory. As a result, the stock dropped almost 80% from its 2011 highs. Today, things are different: share prices are up with gold, though still relatively on sale. But has the company fixed its problems and when will it deliver all that growth it's had on tap for years? That's what The Independent Speculator wants to know...
