Discovery has one of the largest silver-primary projects in the world. A series of economic studies have all been positive. It was a natural pick for a silver bull. Unfortunately, this is a monster open-pit project and the current government is not only refusing to permit open-pit projects, it wants to emplace a constitutional ban against them. The likely leader of the next government says she agrees with this policy, making Discovery a non-starter until the political situation improves. I think this stock may well rise the next time silver breaks out again, but I've decided to eliminate Mexico Risk from my portfolio and sold this stock, along with others working primarily in Mexico.
