Team Soft Landing is out in force again, touting a narrow view of the economy to assure everyone that it's so resilient, everything's fine. I don't agree. Labor hoarding is masking a much weaker economy than the mainstream perceives and that will make the landing all the harder when it comes. Liberty and Finance's Elijah K. Johnson asked for my updated take on this, in light of the debt ceiling circus now being over. The key takeaway is that I still see recession ahead and the only minerals I'm willing to speculate on today are gold, silver, and uranium.
